Arcade & Casual Games

What are arcade and casual games?

Arcade and casual games are built for short sessions. They usually have one simple action - tap, swipe, hold - and a score to beat. In this category you will find endless runners, ball and bounce games, stacking games, helix and tower drops, rhythm games, snake games, flappy-style fliers, colouring games and retro-inspired classics.

What makes a good one?

A great arcade game is readable at a glance and fair when you lose: you can always see the obstacle that got you. Rounds that last a minute or two, a high score to chase and a game that speeds up slowly are what make you press 'play again'.

How to choose: beginners and experienced players

Almost every arcade game is beginner-friendly, so pick by mood. For something calm, choose a colouring or stacking game; for a reflex test, try a runner or a rhythm game. Players who like a challenge should look for games with daily goals or harder modes. These games are the best fit for phones because they often need just one finger.
